Where did World War II actually begin?

KRSU professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Murat Suyunbaev explained why the start date of World War II can be revised.
 

Everyone is accustomed to the fact that the start date of World War II is considered to be September 1, 1939, when the German armed forces crossed the borders of Poland. However, few people remember that on July 7, 1937, Japan launched an offensive deep into China, and then five states were drawn into the conflict – the same number as in Europe at first.
 

In conversation on radio Sputnik Kyrgyzstan Suyunbaev noted that many facts that are used in world politics and history, upon closer examination, turn out to be Eurocentric.
