Walk, Maslenitsa is wide! Come Nooruz mairamas to every home!

On March 14, 2024, the Institute of Russian Language of RUDN University, together with the Institute of Russian Language named after A. O. Orusbaev of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, held an educational teleconference «We celebrate the holidays: Maslenitsa and Nooruz», timed to coincide with the opening of the Cabinet of Russian Words named after Chingiz Aitmatov at KRSU.

Work on creating the cabinet was carried out throughout the past year, and IRA RUDN University provided serious organizational and financial support to this project. In an effort to emphasize the common spiritual values of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, the long-term historical and cultural connection between our peoples, and the importance of the Russian language for Central Asia, the project implementers paid special attention to the work of the classic of world literature, bilingual writer Chingiz Torekulovich Aitmatov, who is an honorary academician of RUDN University.

In his welcoming speech, Mamed Dzhakypovich Tagaev, professor, director of the Institute of Russian Language named after A. O. Orusbaev KRSU, emphasized: «It is very exciting that we are opening such a conference room today. I would like to express my gratitude to the management and employees of IRYA RUDN University. Special gratitude to its director Angela Viktorovna Dolzhikova. Today's gift –the result of our close scientific cooperation with Russia and RUDN University».
