The languages of science and literature in the state were rightfully Arabic and Persian. Navoi considered the development of the literary Turkic language one of his main tasks.
The head of the Department of History and Theory of Literature of the KRSU, Bakhtiyar Koychuev, spoke about the role of Alisher Navoi in the formation of new Turkic literature.

All of Navoi's activities were aimed at glorifying the native language and literature and making readers aware of their value», – koychuev said.
