A book about Yudakhin was presented at KRSU
Relatives of Konstantin Yudakhin noted that the book presents the most reliable material, reflecting the rich range of works of the outstanding scientist.
BISHKEK, December 10 — Sputnik. A presentation of the documentary-biographical monograph of Leonid and Olga Sumarokov «K. took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. K. Yudakhin. Uniting Central Asia with a word».
The event was held in an online format, and was attended by famous scientists, representatives of universities in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and relatives of Konstantin Yudakhin.
«The book is dedicated to the activities of the Soviet Turkologist, lexicographer, expert on Turkic languages and ancient Turkic writing Konstantin Yudakhin. The scientist made a great contribution to the development of Turkology, Kyrgyz linguistics, literary criticism and history, created Kyrgyz-Russian and Russian-Kyrgyz dictionaries», – the university said.
The presentation was opened by the rector of KRSU Vladimir Nifadiev. He noted the great contribution of an outstanding linguist to science.
The book – is a low bow to an amazing person, a professional who devoted his life to language, emphasized Olga Sumarokova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, one of the authors of the publication.
«The book is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist. We couldn't help but celebrate this date. Konstantin Kuzmich had a special love for the Kyrgyz language; it was he who gave impetus to the harmonious development of bilingualism in Kyrgyzstan», she said.
Another significant detail was noted by Leonid Sumarokov, candidate of historical sciences, vice-rector of KRSU, one of the authors of the book. He recalled that Konstantin Kuzmich’s brother Pyotr Yudakhin was the first director of the Kyrgyz Institute of Education.
«Konstantin Kuzmich is not the only one who glorified his surname. The Yudakhin family has done a lot of good to the Kyrgyz land», he emphasized.
