The action is being carried out to prevent attempts to falsify the history of the feat of the Soviet people in the Second World War.
BISHKEK, October 6 – Sputnik. Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University for Information and Public Relations, Candidate of Historical Sciences Leonid Sumarokov will hand over a batch of books «Every heart beat like Brest!» Border Service of the State Committee for National Security and the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The transfer of books will take place on Thursday, October 7, at 14:00 in the university building. The purpose of the action – preserving the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and countering attempts to falsify the history of the Second World War.
Representatives of the government agency will take part in the event «Memorial complex «Brest Hero Fortress», Russian Military Historical Society, Council of Veterans of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Belgorod State University, North Caucasus Federal University, Kyrgyz National Military Lyceum, Ken-Bulun Secondary School named after Osmon Lailiev, air base school «Kant», relatives of participants in the first battles on the border of the USSR on June 22, 1941, veterans of the armed forces.
