Today, January 11, KRSU Rector Vladimir Nifadiev held a working meeting with the heads of Russian media working in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting was timed to coincide with Russian Press Day, celebrated in Russia on January 13. It is associated with a historical date – the beginning of the publication of the first Russian printed newspaper (on January 13, 1703, the first issue of the newspaper «Vedomosti» was published in Russia by decree of Peter I).
The meeting was attended by the Head of the International News Agency and Radio «Sputnik Kyrgyzstan» Elena Cheremenina, Director of the Central Asian Representative Office «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» Dmitry Evlashkov, General Director of MC Russia (newspapers «Arguments and Facts– Kyrgyzstan» and «MK-Asia») Alexander Bannikov.
During the meeting, issues of interaction between KRSU and Russian publications were discussed. The rector of the university told media leaders about the university’s work plans and the main scientific and practical events held in 2019. At the end of the meeting, Academician Vladimir Nifadiev congratulated all journalists on Russian Press Day. The text of the congratulations reads in particular: «Russian journalists working in Kyrgyzstan – talented and creative people. They, worried about the common destiny of the Kyrgyz and Russian peoples, in a word strengthen cooperation between fraternal countries. May this noble cause be marked by vibrant journalistic works based on inspiration and living words. Happiness and prosperity to you and your loved ones! I express confidence that the interaction between the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the Russian media in 2019 will receive new content in the name of common creative goals».
