KRSU proposes to open an interstate dissertation council in philological sciences at the university. The rector of the university, Vladimir Nifadiev, announced this at a meeting of the Committee on Social Issues, Education, Science, Culture and Health of the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to him, the educational institution sent its proposal to the speaker of parliament.

«This is Russian, these are Germanic languages and language theory. Currently, the situation with the training of highly qualified personnel in these areas is difficult. Regarding the Russian language: we have only one doctor of science in this area, there are no candidates. There is no dissertation council for Germanic languages either, and English and German are required when passing the candidate minimum»,  vladimir Nifadiev noted.

He said that the university discussed the issue of the dissertation council with the leadership of the Institute of Foreign Languages of St. Petersburg. «The rector agreed and even selected doctors of science. And she agreed that the arrival of members of the dissertation council would be paid for by this institute»,  vladimir Nifadiev noticed.

He added that the university turned to the Jogorku Kenesh to support the proposal to open such a dissertation council at the state level.
