The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University received a special status

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin received a special status, the university press service reported.

"The President of the Kyrgyz Republic made changes to the Decree "On measures to increase the potential and competitiveness of educational organizations of higher professional education in the Kyrgyz Republic.". These changes were made in order to consolidate financial, material and intellectual resources, increase the potential and competitiveness of state educational organizations of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic in the global market of educational services," the statement says.

In accordance with the amendments, paragraph 1 of the Decree was supplemented with a paragraph with the following content: "State educational institution of higher professional education (Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin)". The amended Decree comes into force ten days from the date of official publication. Thus, KRSU becomes one of the few universities that have a special status.
