Nominees for the magazine's Ernest Hemingway Award have been announced «New World». This was reported on the official website.
Ernest Hemingway Prize — an international literary prize created to support Russian-speaking authors whose works reflect the desire to search for new artistic forms and expand linguistic and semantic boundaries. The award was established in Toronto (Canada) in 2015 by the famous Canadian publishing house Litsvet.
This year, one of the nominees for the award was Kyrgyz Diana Svetlichnaya. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Kyrgyz State National University. He teaches at the Department of Journalism at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Published in magazines «Friendship of Peoples» (Moscow), «Rise» (Voronezh), «Prostor» (Almaty), «Literary Kyrgyzstan» (Bishkek), «Culture» (Bishkek), «Idiot» (St. Petersburg), literary almanacs, online and glossy magazines from different countries.
The award is awarded for works written in Russian or for literary translation into Russian published in the magazine «New World». The jury consists of writers, journalists, publishers and award coordinators.
The winners in each category are awarded an original Ernest Hemingway Literary Award winner's medal and a diploma. Usually, based on the results of the award, the organizers make a television program about the winners' books.
It is noted that the names of the laureates will become known in mid-January 2022.
