The medical forum on cardiology in Bishkek brought together the best specialists
«According to the latest data from the National Statistical Committee, Kyrgyzstan has a mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases of almost 52 per cent. This is a very high figure. And the current forum is very important; it is dedicated to modern trends in cardiology and cardiac surgery. And most importantly – uniting the efforts of specialists from different countries in these areas. In all EAEU countries, the mortality rate from heart disease is quite high. And there are a lot of problems, the solution of which requires joint initiatives, programs, projects to reduce morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases», – said vb.kg director of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Talant Sooronbaev before the start of the EAEU International Medical Forum.
«And it is no coincidence that this forum was combined with a conference «Mirrakhimov readings», which have been held traditionally for many years, as a tribute to the memory and respect of the great cardiologist and teacher, academician Mirsaid Mirrakhimov. In medicine, one of the main principles – continuity, namely: attitude towards patients, clinical, scientific work to which the teacher devoted his entire life.
At the forum, scientists, doctors who made a great contribution to the development of domestic medicine, to the training of young specialists, as well as guests from near and far abroad were awarded the medal of Academician Mirsaid Mirrakhimov. Young scientists – winners of the competition were awarded the international Academician Mirrakhimov Prize. On behalf of the Foundation named after Academician Mirsaid Mirrakhimov, Elmir Mirrakhimov, according to tradition, during «Mirrakhimov readings» she presented the best senior students of KSMA and KRSU with diplomas and scholarships named after the outstanding cardiologist, founder of mining medicine in the world, Mirsaid Mirrakhimov.
