International scientific conference dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of E.D. Polivanova
On June 10, 2021, at the Kyrgyz National University (KNU) named after. Zhusup Balasagyn hosted the International Scientific Conference «Free Discussion on Language and the Dynamics of the Development of Language Processes», dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding linguist-Turkologist E.D. Polivanova (1891-1938). The initiator and organizer of the conference was the Faculty of Russian and Slavic Philology of KNU.
The conference was attended by scientists, public figures, teachers of Russian language and literature, students of philological faculties from eight countries – Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Poland. The duplication of plenary and breakout sessions in an online format (Google Meet) made it possible to expand the circle of conference participants.
