An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops near Moscow will be held on December 7-8. It will take place on the basis of the Russian Academy of Sciences and on its initiative, with the participation of representatives of a number of countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
A conference called «Russia in the 21st century: the Great Patriotic War and historical memory. To the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops near Moscow» organized in a mixed format. Its participants will be scientists and employees of scientific institutions and scientific and educational organizations, doctoral students, graduate and master's students, teachers and students of universities, colleges and lyceums, high school students of secondary schools.
A plenary session with hearings of academic reports and the work of sections will be held in the Red Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
As noted, it is planned to consider current historiographical problems of the events of the autumn-winter of 1941/42, which led to the first strategic defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. It is also planned to discuss the military-political and strategic consequences of the defeat of Nazi Germany near Moscow in 1941, the reasons and methods of distorting historical events in modern society and in Western history textbooks, historical, psychological and political aspects of rejection of the decisive role of the Soviet peoples in the Second World War and the deliberate falsification of its results.
The conference includes the second stage of the all-Russian photo competition «The Great Patriotic War is in the fate of my country and my generation» and the International Youth Competition for the best essay «The Great Patriotic War is in the fate of the country, in my perception and the perception of my peers».
A number of greetings were sent to the conference, including – Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Vladimir Nifadiev.
