«No one will agree to this» – ecologist about the plans of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic to combat smog
Ecologist Andrei Podrezov considers it unlikely that the plans of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic to receive more than $6 billion from the UN to combat smog will be successful.
In an interview on Sputnik radio Kyrgyzstan, Podrezov commented on the options proposed by officials of the environmental ministry for solving the problem of environmental pollution in Bishkek.
«Ecology – expensive thing. Only very rich countries that have both technical resources and scientific potential can afford a good environment. It is useless to ask for money in an amount exceeding the national debt of the republic for vague definitions of the type «nanodisplants», «Canadian wells» and «heat pumps» –. Nobody will agree to this. You need to competently argue what you can do with this money», – the interlocutor emphasized.
