Is it dangerous to give birth after 40 – conversation about late children
President of the Kyrgyz Association of Obstetricians-Gynecologists and Neonatologists, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Arsen Askerov spoke about late children, preparation for their birth and the reproductive health of women.
In the program «Special emphasis» on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan radio, Askerov reported that more and more women in the country are deciding to have a late birth.
He emphasized that an expectant mother aged 40+ must undergo a detailed medical examination, a course of vitamin and hormonal support.
According to him, the widespread opinion that late children are very smart has confirmation, but, obviously, this is not due to the age of the parents, but to the great attention and care that surrounds such a child.
