At the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic named after. Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General K. Usenbekov, an important solemn event took place for the cadets, teaching staff and management of the institute.
On February 21, on the basis of the Department of Border Activities of the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General Kalynur Usenbekov, a new class in the academic discipline was solemnly opened «History of Border Authorities».
The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Military Institute, headed by Chief Colonel SharshembievR.Y., ex-Chief of the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General MusaevR.Zh., Head of the Operational Border Group of the FSB of Russia in the Kyrgyz Republic Bezrodnov V.Yu., Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Border Department, Reserve Colonel Ch.S. Burzhuev, representatives of the State Border Service and the State Committee for Defense Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sumarokov L.I. and students of the KRSU, Kyrgyz State Law Academy under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and invited guests.
The class was prepared by officers of the Department of Border Activities with the active participation and assistance of advisers of the Operational Border Group of the FSB of Russia in the interests of increasing the level of knowledge of border guard cadets about the history of the development of border agencies in the Tsarist, Soviet and modern periods. By studying the common history, combat experience, traditions and exploits of heroes, future border guard officers will create a strong foundation for their subsequent development as professionals in their field. Continuity of generations and loyalty to border traditions – this is the basis for the development of border authorities.
This is another, excellent example of joint activities between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the field of training and education of future defenders of the borders of the Fatherland.
Training of personnel for the border department of Kyrgyzstan, a partner state of the Russian Federation in such significant integration associations as the CIS, CSTO, SCO and EAEU, is one of the foundations of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the field of ensuring collective border security.
