KRSU advanced mining technology will allow Kumtor to create «smart quarry»
The XV International Scientific and Practical Conference «Advanced Technologies in Mining» ended in Issyk-Kul. Among the participants were the rector of KRSU, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Vladimir Nifadiev, professors Salavat Usmanov and Natalya Malyukova, employees of the Kyrgyz LLC Blast Maker Evgeniy Salov, Ernazar Sydykov and Marat Raiymkulov.
The XV International Scientific and Practical Conference was dedicated to the memory of Vitaly Kovalenko, who for many years headed scientific and technical work on automating drilling and blasting operations at mining enterprises. Since 1993, V. Kovalenko has headed the KRSU Information and Computing Center. In parallel with this position, from 1999 to 2018, he was the chief manager of the Regional Branch of the International Science and Technology Center in Kyrgyzstan. It was under the scientific leadership of V. Kovalenko that the unique software and hardware complex Blast Maker was developed, designed for automated preparation of production in quarries.
