Why is it beneficial for Kyrgyzstan to be a member of the EAEU – student opinion
may 29 is EAEU Day – on this day in 2014, the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was signed in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz Republic joined the association a year later – in August 2015. Why it is important for our country to be in this association, we talk with young analysts.
In a conversation on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan radio, third-year KRSU student Ruslan Sadirdinov said that all countries receive a positive effect from their presence in the EAEU – members of the association. In Kyrgyzstan, for example, direct investment quadrupled last year alone, and trade within the union reached record levels in history.
Ruslan’s colleague, fourth-year KRSU student Kuanyshbek Mykyev added that we are also seeing an expansion of the geography of interests of the Eurasian Economic Union, as evidenced by the fact that the leaders of countries outside the association were present at the Supreme Council of the EAEU in Moscow.
