The historical Battle of Kursk became a triumph of Soviet military art and a decisive event that provided a radical turning point during the Great Patriotic War.
A thematic book and illustrative exhibition, organized by the National Historical Museum and the Russian Cultural Center «Harmony» and opened in Bishkek in the building of the National Historical Museum, is dedicated to the glorious 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War.
The exhibition was opened by the vice-president of the Russian Cultural Center S. Polyakov, the chairman of the council of the Assembly of Peoples of Kyrgyzstan A. Matubraimov and the vice-rector of the KRSU, candidate of political sciences L. Sumarokov, who spoke about the heroic and outstanding significance of the victory of the Red Army and the entire Soviet people in the battle of Kursk. Kyrgyz soldiers also took part in it, showing courage and bravery in the battles for the liberation of territories. 20 exhibition stands present various newspaper and magazine materials telling about the course of the battles and the heroism of Soviet soldiers.
