The Institute of Russian Language began operating at KRSU
The director of the institute, Mamed Tagaev, told what the discovery of the scientific structure is connected with and what tasks the institute faces.
BISHKEK, October 18 – Sputnik. The Institute of Russian Language has opened at the Russian-Kyrgyz Slavic University, director of the new university Mamed Tagaev told Sputnik.
According to him, the scientific structure was opened in the spring, but due to the pandemic situation «in full force», the institute began operating only in September.
«First of all, you need to understand that the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan – is traditionally the language that opens access to the global information space, to science and technology. These are banal words, but they contain the real truth. We cannot isolate ourselves within the framework of our native language and culture. Even the most advanced countries in the era of globalization are trying to push the boundaries of their worldview», – Tagaev noted.
He emphasized that the main task – is to preserve the potential developed in Soviet times, including thanks to the Russian language. In addition, some young people have poor command of the Russian language and cannot compete in the modern labor market. And many concepts and terms «reach» into the Kyrgyz language through Russian.
«The objectives of the institute are: popularization of the Russian language, promotion of Russian culture, demonstration and promotion of Russian-language education as the highest quality, as well as providing scientific and methodological assistance to schools in teaching the Russian language and preparing students for studying at universities», – explained the director.
He added that another task is to ensure harmonious interaction with the Kyrgyz language and culture.
