BISHKEK, May 13 — Sputnik. On Monday, May 13, the scientific conference "Christianity in Kyrgyzstan: history and modernity" began at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The event is attended by scientists from Italy, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The topic of the next conference was not chosen by chance. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Chair in the Study of World Cultures and Religions. In addition, the Roman Catholic parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Bishkek celebrates its 50th anniversary.
