Russia has been and will be the main ally of Kyrgyzstan
Four months have passed since Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Sergei Vakunov began work in Kyrgyzstan. During this time, he met with the leaders of all branches of government of the republic and participated in many interstate events of various types. This week the diplomat met with journalists from a number of leading media outlets.
During the conversation, Sergei Ivanovich said that for the last twenty years, working in the Administration of the President of Russia and dealing with issues of interregional and cultural relations with foreign countries, he has been closely connected with our republic. He came to the country several times, was one of the organizers of major international events — a very relevant conference «Orthodoxy and Islam — religions of the world», a youth forum, three forums of university rectors in Russia and Kyrgyzstan. He developed projects for Russian-Kyrgyz conferences on interaction between regions, which have proven their effectiveness.
