Growth of pediatric oncology in Kyrgyzstan
Every year on February 15, International Day of Children with Cancer is celebrated. It was established in 2002 in Luxembourg at the International Conference of Organizations of Parents whose Children Have Had Cancer. According to WHO statistics, cancer has the second highest mortality rate in the world immediately after accidents. In many countries, the problems of pediatric oncology are very acute, and Kyrgyzstan is no exception in this regard.
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Oncology and Radiology of KRSU Zakir Kamarli spoke in an interview about the situation with pediatric oncology in the country.
