The head of the Center for Language Policy and International Education of the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. spoke about the results of a large-scale study on the situation of the Russian language in the world and in the former USSR. The world is becoming more complex, so in addition to the traditional criterion in the form of the number of people speaking a particular language, it is necessary to take into account the labor market, mass media, education and other factors. We need a universal indicator, which is the proposed index of the position of the Russian language in the world», – kamysheva explained.
