Which Russian universities are students from Kyrgyzstan studying at?
 

Currently, 8.6 thousand citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic study at Russian universities, including their foreign branches.
 

In accordance with the Plan for the admission of foreign citizens, stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, to study in educational organizations within the quota established by the Government of the Russian Federation, 432 places have been allocated for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2021/22 academic year. Compared to the 2020/21 academic year, the quota increased by 30 places.
 

As a rule, Kyrgyz students who study at Russian universities within the quota choose such areas of training as economics, law, information systems and technologies, computer science and computer technology, construction, and acting.

 

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University
 

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin was created to train highly qualified personnel who will strengthen technological, socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as preserve and enhance the spiritual values of our peoples.
 

Today, KRSU has over 8 thousand students from more than 10 countries.  
 

The university implements educational programs of higher and secondary vocational education, basic and additional general education programs of the Russian Federation in parallel with the educational programs of the Kyrgyz Republic. KRSU trains specialists in 39 areas of bachelor's degree, 8 areas of master's degree, 6 specialties. A secondary school – is open at the university - the only educational institution in Kyrgyzstan where you can take the Unified State Exam.  About 70% of university teachers have an academic degree of candidate or doctor of science.
 

The university conducts applied scientific research aimed at practical solutions to technical and social problems. He also offers specific programs aimed at integration into the unified educational space of the EAEU countries. In 2021, KRSU concluded 21 agreements on cooperation in scientific and educational fields with leading scientific and educational institutions of higher professional education of the Russian Federation. This will allow the development of international academic mobility of students and teaching staff. Thus, in 2021, under the «Visiting Professor» program, 10 teachers from 9 scientific institutions and universities in Russia gave lectures at KRSU.
 

One of the significant projects of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was the International School «Greater Altai: foresight-2050», implemented by the Resource Center for the Development of Civil Initiatives and Promoting the Integration of Peoples and Cultures in the Altai Territory and the Altai Regional Public Organization of Psychological and Social Support and Health Protection «Positive development» in collaboration with Altai State University and the Association of Asian Universities. The project has a scientific, educational and educational focus. Its goal – development of intercultural dialogue, strengthening trust, mutual understanding and good neighborliness between representatives of states, cultures and nationalities of the Altai region and countries located in the Greater Altai and Central Asia: Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia.

 

In addition, KRSU has been cooperating for many years with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the North Caucasus Federal University, the Russian State Humanitarian University and the Institute of Russian Sciences named after A.S. Pushkin.
