An interuniversity literary competition was held in Bishkek «Russia in poetry and works of classics».

The event, held as part of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, was attended by students from the largest universities in Bishkek: KNU named after. Zh. Balasagyn, BSU named after. K. Karasaev, KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin, KSU named after. AND. Arabaev and the International University of Kyrgyzstan.

The competition consisted of three parts. During the first two rounds, students had to answer questions about the life and work of the classics of Russian literature, as well as about their immortal works.

The highlight of the event was the song stage. Students not only guessed, but also sang famous Russian folk songs and compositions from Soviet times in chorus.

Based on the results of three rounds of the competition, the team of Bishkek State University named after. K. Karasaev. Second place was taken by students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. B. Yeltsin. An honorable third place went to the team of the Kyrgyz State University. AND. Arabaeva.

«The questions were drafted in a very interesting way, in order to answer them correctly we had to focus on the details. For example, to understand what kind of work we are talking about, we had to first determine its author from a photo. Unfortunately, we do not know all the classics by sight. This was both the complexity and fascination of the competition», a student of KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin Victoria Monastyrskaya.

The winners of the interuniversity competition were awarded prize statuettes. All participants of the event received diplomas and memorable gifts.
