Mathematicians of the North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) organized seminars for schoolchildren, students and teachers on solving various mathematical problems and reliable methods of storing data in virtual environments.

Rector of the North Caucasus University Dmitry Bespalov emphasized that the main goal of the educational project «Mathematics Week» remains to increase interest among children and youth in studying the exact sciences and strengthen cooperation with educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan.

«We are connected with universities in Kyrgyzstan by a number of successful educational initiatives that have already shown their effectiveness. An important step to strengthen cooperation between universities in our countries in the future will be the holding of summer and winter schools, student conferences, advanced training courses, as well as two diploma programs» reported by Dmitry Bespalov.

Director of the North Caucasus Center for Mathematical Research Anatoly Alikhanov noted that «Mathematics Week» for Kyrgyz schoolchildren and students made it possible to increase the interest of the younger generation in studying the subject and give children new knowledge in the field of mathematics.
«In addition, our visit was an excellent opportunity to talk about the scientific work being carried out at NCFU» anatoly Alikhanov reminded.

Scientists told the audience, among other questions, about numerical methods for solving the fractional-order diffusion equation over time, as well as difference schemes for local and non-local boundary value problems, including increased approximation order.

«Numerous experiments show that different soils and soils are physical media with memory in relation to the processes of substance transfer into them. Many models in physics and biology boil down to solving equations with memory effects. To study physical or biological processes in memory environments, numerical methods for solving fractional order partial differential equations are widely used, since the use of analytical solution methods gives results in very simplified cases. In particular, partial differential equations of fractional order», can serve as a mathematical description of such objects mathematicians explained during the seminar.

It should be noted that in addition to scientific seminars for students and schoolchildren, NCFU scientists will conduct advanced training courses in Kyrgyzstan for mathematics teachers of republican schools. Earlier «Mathematics Week» was held in Uzbekistan, where in the future it is planned to open a representative office of the North Caucasus Federal University.
