Kyrgyz teachers took an active part in the International Forum «Teaching Russian in the multispace of Commonwealth countries: specifics, prospects, tasks», which took place on December 10, 2021 in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Experts and practitioners from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova gathered at the forum’s in-person site in Bishkek, joined by Russian scientists. Russian language teachers, organizers of education systems and public figures from the CIS countries joined the online discussions from local studios in Almaty, Yerevan, Chisinau and Minsk.

The round table «Features of teaching the Russian language in the CIS countries» was opened by a speech by Professor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Doctor of Philology Mamed Tagaev, who dwelled in detail on the external and internal factors that determine the methodology for the educational description of the Russian language as a non-native language. According to him, when compiling textbooks for the Kyrgyz school, the main direction should be a focus on text, thanks to which, in the process of working with text, a Kyrgyz schoolchild develops linguistic and communicative competence, and develops the gift of words. «For educational purposes, texts should be selected that clearly reflect the linguistic picture of the world, woven from various meanings and images of the Russian worldview mamed Dzhakypovich emphasized. A careful selection of educational texts will allow students to immerse themselves in the content of the cultural and linguistic space of the Russian language, understand the system of national values of the Russian person, the peculiarities of his understanding and perception of images of the world, traits of national character, emotional behavior and other nuances important for communication».
