A unique set of stamps dedicated to the heroes of the Second World War is presented in Bishkek

• A gala event was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University dedicated to the release of a set of postage stamps commemorating Kyrgyzstanis — Heroes of the Soviet Union who participated in the Great Patriotic War and worked in the rear.

• The idea of creating this set of stamps arose in the editorial office of «Rossiyskaya Gazeta – Kyrgyzstan» in November 2024, but the implementation of the project encountered difficulties associated with finding funding and determining the exact number of Heroes, which varied from 73 to 78 people.

• The set includes 73 postage stamps and was issued in limited quantities — a total of 250 copies dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory, with the help of Russian businessmen who supported the project.
