A unique set of stamps dedicated to the heroes of the Second World War was presented in Bishkek
Bishkek, 23/04/2025. /Saber/. A solemn procedure for canceling a set of postage stamps of Kyrgyzstan dedicated to Kyrgyzstanis — Heroes of the Soviet Union who participated in the Great Patriotic War and worked in the rear took place today at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
As Dmitry Evlashkov, director of «Rossiyskaya Gazeta – Kyrgyzstan», said, the idea of creating the set arose in the editorial office in November 2024. The main difficulties were in finding funding and clarifying the exact number of Heroes of the Soviet Union associated with Kyrgyzstan — data in the sources ranged from 73 to 78 people.
