The forum of graduates of Russian and Soviet universities in Kyrgyzstan is taking place in Bishkek. Organizers of the event – Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the republic, the Association of Alumni of Russian Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
In his speech at the opening of the forum, KRSU Rector Denis Fomin-Nilov called the university a symbol of the integration of Russian and Kyrgyz education, since many of its teachers were retrained in Russia and returned to Bishkek to work for the benefit of Kyrgyzstan. He also recalled that KRSU issues two diplomas – of Russian and Kyrgyz models.
According to the head of the department of higher, secondary vocational and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azamat Naimanbaev, Kyrgyzstan and Russia effectively cooperate in the field of education. He drew attention to the fact that Kyrgyzstanis have the opportunity to study for free at Russian universities. According to him, the demand for such an opportunity is high.
