A round table on media coverage of climate change and Central Asian biodiversity is being held in Bishkek
Bishkek, 09/06/21 /Roman Gainanov – Kabar/. Today a round table is being held in Bishkek for representatives of the media of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
The event was organized to attract the attention and awareness of media representatives on environmental issues, climate change and biodiversity conservation.
The round table «Media coverage of climate change and biodiversity issues in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia» brought together more than 30 editors, journalists, bloggers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Leading domestic and international experts, such as Ivan Blokov, director of programs, research and expertise of the Russian branch of Greenpeace, spoke for them head of the Department of Meteorology, Ecology and Environmental Protection of KRSU, Associate Professor Andrey Podrezov, Director «Bureau of Environmental Information» Angelina Davydova, Chairman of the Council of ED BIOM Vladimir Korotenko, Head of the Department of Hydrometeorological Observations, Forecasts and Information Provision of Kyrgyzhydromet Tatyana Chernikova.
