The involvement of Central Asia in a new «Big Game» is inevitable, experts say. At the same time, in their opinion, easing Western pressure on the region is possible after further expansion of Eurasian integration.
Experts from Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan discussed what the new «Big Game», deployed in Central Asia in the context of geopolitical confrontation, entails.
Journalists, political scientists, historians, public figures and security experts spoke at a round table organized by the discussion club «Pikir». The event participants talked about the influence of external players on the region, the information war against Russia deployed in Central Asia, as well as the prospects for the development of Eurasian integration as a way to include the region in a multipolar world.
The world is going through another round «of the Great Game», noted Pavel Dyatlenko, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of History of KRSU.
In the modern round «of the Great Game», information wars play a special role, Dyatlenko emphasized. According to him, such wars are waged through the media, social networks, instant messengers, as well as through social manipulation technologies and financial and economic instruments.
