A virtual graduation ceremony of the medical department was held at KRSU
The event was actively supported by the group «City 312» and graduates who now work in different parts of the world.
BISHKEK, July 11 – Sputnik. The first ceremonial virtual academic council of the Faculty of Medicine, dedicated to the graduation of students, was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, said Anes Zarifyan, dean of the university’s Faculty of Medicine.
This year, the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU celebrates the 21st graduation of general practitioners, the 12th graduation of pediatricians and dentists, as well as the 19th graduation of clinordinators.
«We had 636 graduates this year. When the coronavirus situation began, it became clear that we must switch to remote contact. The exams were conducted remotely in two weeks. Then I thought that we do not have the right to deprive the children of the solemn academic council and taking medical oaths of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. So it was decided to hold a virtual graduation», – said Zarifyan.
He added that graduates took medical vows from the two countries using the Zoom platform.
«The main algorithm of the council was accompanied by poetry and the performance of akyn, the guys sang in Kyrgyz and Russian. I am very grateful to our wonderful fellow countrymen, the group «City 312», who responded and performed the hit I remade «Out of reach». It was heard at the end of the event», – noted the dean of the medical faculty.
Zarifyan added that from the very beginning, many reacted positively to the initiative, and faculty graduates who now work in different parts of the world sent congratulations and supported the event.
