On March 9, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University officially confirmed that the Kyrgyz citizen who went missing in 1943 actually died during the Battle of Kursk. This was announced at the XI regional scientific and practical student conference «Family memory of the war», organized by the Belgorod State National Research University.
KRSU Vice-Rector Leonid Sumarokov spoke about the fate of Red Army soldier Shamsha Egemzharov, who became a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR of the first convocation in 1938. The scientist has been restoring the history of the participation of deputies of the first Kyrgyz parliament in the Great Patriotic War for several years and wrote a book on this matter «Front Roads of People's Deputies.
