Kyrgyzstan is considering the option of creating a faculty of family medicine

«Health» (AKIpress) – Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova held a working meeting on the state and development of clinical residency.

 

According to the government press service, the meeting was attended by Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy Andrei Sopuev, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Anes Zarifyan, Deputy Minister of Education Nurlan Omurov and State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Kalysbek Shadykanov, resident doctors.
 

As a result of the meeting, it was instructed to consider the feasibility of creating a faculty of family medicine, analyze the employment of graduates of medical faculties of higher educational institutions, and open an additional 250 quota places in clinical residency.
 

The Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health have been instructed to properly inform applicants, upon admission to a budget-funded form of education, about the need, upon completion of their studies, to work in the regions.
 

In addition, the relevant government bodies have been instructed to submit a draft government resolution providing for a review of the terms of training in clinical residency.
