The Russian Cultural Center dedicated a large-scale exhibition of photographs and unique documents to the centenary of the USSR «Harmony». The organizers presented to the public exhibits that are difficult to find even in archives.
On display – the works of Nikolai Bukharin and Alexei Rykov, which, after the execution of both figures, were removed from all libraries of the Soviet Union. Next to them are books by Joseph Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev, decisions of plenums and congresses of the CPSU, an old gramophone and passport of a citizen of the USSR, photographs of collective farm life and the construction of important facilities. Keeper of this unique collection – vice-president of the NGO Russian Cultural Center «Harmony» Semyon Polyakov. He collected it all his life.
– Soviet times for the Kyrgyz SSR – the time of economic recovery to an unprecedented height until that time – approved by the Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Candidate of Historical Sciences Leonid Sumarokov. – During the years of the first five-year plans, the republic turned from a backward outskirts of Tsarist Russia into an industrialized one. Medicine, education and culture were at a high level. Much of what we are now exploiting was inherited from the USSR.
