The event was held in a mixed format: participants from Belgorod State University gathered at the Center for Civic and Patriotic Education, the rest, including new participants from the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, – joined in a video conferencing format.
The main event of this year's conference was the identification of the soldier Shamshi Egemzharova, who died during the Battle of Kursk. The fighter was buried in a mass grave in the village of Kosilovo, Grayvoronsky city district. The vice-rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University for Information and Public Relations, Ph.D., spoke about the fate of the Red Army soldier, who had been considered missing since 1943. It turned out that the funeral with the message about the death of the fighter was mistakenly sent to another city, and his first and last name on the stele of the mass grave were also carved with an error. But thanks to the collected documents, it became clear who was actually buried on Belgorod land.
