Remembering the political figure of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Primakov. Exhibition at KRSU
© Sputnik /Tabyldy Kadyrbekov. BISHKEK, October 29 – An exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Yevgeny Primakov has opened at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The event was opened by the head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations Gulmira Dzhunushalieva. She noted that Yevgeny Primakov outlined the position of the Russian Federation in foreign multi-vector policy for a long time.
«One of his decisions went down in history as «Primakov loop». In 1999, as Prime Minister of Russia, he was on an official visit to the United States. Having learned about NATO’s decision to bomb Yugoslavia, he decided to turn the plane over the Atlantic to return to Moscow», – said Dzhunushalieva.
KRSU Rector Vladimir Nifadiev emphasized that Yevgeny Primakov visited the university and agreed to be its honorary doctor.
«Primakov – man of the era: such people on the planet can be counted on the fingers of two hands. We are proud that he was at our university and mentioned KRSU at the level of the Russian government», – said Nifadiev.
