From September 19 to 21, the first MEDIA CAMP AWARD journalism competition in Central Asian countries was held in Dushanbe. The competition is designed to promote the development of the media environment in the region and contribute to the receipt of high-quality information by all representatives of society. The project is being implemented by Internews within the framework of the Central Asian Media Program (CAMP) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
470 works were submitted to the competition from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, only 39 of which were shortlisted.
