The Russian language summer school began operating in Moscow on July 11. 34 students from grades 6-8 from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan sat down at their desks.
The school is held on the basis of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in cooperation with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) named after B. Yeltsin and the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University. The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
As he told the correspondent «RG» vice-rector for Information and Public Relations of KRSU Leonid Sumarokov, school participants from Kyrgyzstan won an essay competition held by the Orusbaev Institute of Russian Language in partnership with RUDN University. More than 50 students from schools in Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Osh, Chui and Issyk-Kul regions took part in the competition.
