Oncologists and mammologists spoke about the reasons for the removal of the mammary glands and their reconstruction after oncological surgery.

 

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Oncology and Radiation Therapy of KRSU, plastic surgeon Kyyal Makieva emphasized that breast removal this is a tragedy for a woman of any age.

 

«Very often, families collapse after operations. Women withdraw into themselves and are left alone with their problem. At the same time, the situation in the regions is even more difficult patients without breasts feel like outcasts. We want to introduce breast reconstruction in oncology for the first time in the republic. Yes, we have private plastic surgery, but it is often aesthetic in nature. We want to help women who have had their breasts removed due to cancer», makieva noted.
