November 25 in Bishkek on the basis of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin department opened «Pushkin Institute». Thanks to this event, Kyrgyz Russian scholars in all regions of the country will have access to new knowledge.
The department was created by the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin in partnership with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
At the ceremony, the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Vladimir Nifadiev he congratulated everyone on the opening of the department and said that he was sincerely happy about this event. In his opinion, the new platform will make the work of experts from the Pushkin Institute to study the situation of the Russian language in the republic more productive. «KRSU is becoming a spiritual bridge between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in terms of promoting the Russian language and cultures of our peoples», – says Vladimir Ivanovich.
Rector of the Pushkin Institute Margarita Rusetskaya joined the opening live from Moscow and congratulated those present on the new stage of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. «It’s good that the department immediately has a specific task – on the one hand, applied, on the other –, which has strategic long-term significance. Together we are creating a working group to prepare for 2023, which has been declared by the CIS Executive Committee as the Year of the Russian Language, the language of interethnic communication in the post-Soviet space», – Margarita Nikolaevna reported.
