KRSU presented the experience of developing student entrepreneurship at the international forum «Altai-Asia - 2026»

13 october 2026

Deputy Vice-Rector of KRSU for scientific and innovative activities Kanayim Baktygulova took part in the VII International Educational Forum «Altai-Asia - 2026», which was held in the city of Belokurikha (Russia).

The forum brought together representatives of Russian and foreign universities, the scientific community, government authorities and business to discuss modern approaches to the development of higher education.

Kanayim Baktygulova acted as an expert on the track «University - platform of the entrepreneurial environment: integration, acceleration, development», presenting the experience of KRSU in supporting student startups and developing technological entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan.

In her speech, she spoke about the system for supporting student projects that is being formed at the university. Once selected, each team receives support based on the project's development stage - from identifying the target audience and developing a minimum viable product (MVP) to finding technology partners and raising funding.

Particular attention was paid to the results of KRSU'S work in this direction. In 2025, the university held its first startup project competition, which received 70 applications, with nine of them reaching the finals. The presented initiatives cover financial and agricultural technologies, artificial intelligence, digital services, medicine, ecology and innovative construction.

Successful examples include the «Sherick» project, which offers a digital solution for residential development using artificial intelligence. At the Russian Venture Forum in Kazan, he won the international nomination. Another project, FinHub, aimed at selecting financial products and increasing financial literacy, has also received recognition on international platforms.

A separate area of work for KRSU is the participation of student teams in external forums, competitions and acceleration programs. This allows young developers to receive expert assessment, establish contacts with potential partners and find opportunities for further development of their projects.

Participation in the international forum was an opportunity to present the experience of Kyrgyzstan in the development of university entrepreneurship and exchange practices with colleagues from Russia and Kazakhstan.
