At the VII International Educational Forum «Altai-Asia - 2026» in Belokurikha (Russia), Director of the Department for Digital Infrastructure Development of KRSU Alexander Yudin made a report «Two years instead of ten: experience of accelerated digital transformation of the university».
In his talk, he presented the results of the digital transformation of KRSU, which began in 2024. In two years, the university has modernized its IT infrastructure, centralized key digital services, introduced a unified user identification system, and begun comprehensive automation of internal processes.
Particular attention was paid to the practical experience of building a unified digital environment of the university. Today, KRSU is developing a centralized server and network infrastructure, modern solutions have been introduced in the field of information security, electronic document management, personnel management, technical support and access control.
A separate topic of the speech was the prospects for the use of artificial intelligence. KRSU looks at the introduction of AI assistants, intelligent user support services, university data analysis tools and the development of its own computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence tasks.
According to Alexander Yudin, the experience of KRSU can be especially useful for universities that are just moving from automating individual processes to system digitalization.
«We haven't finished the digital transformation yet, so we remember well what it's like to start it. Our experience shows that even in a relatively short period of time it is possible to create a technological foundation for the further development of the university. The main thing is to correctly determine the sequence of actions», he noted.
