October 7, 2021 at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin will be given a transfer of books «Every heart beat like Brest!» (by L.I. Sumarokov) to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event will be attended by descendants of heroes of the battles on the western border of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, schoolchildren, students of Kyrgyz and Russian universities, scientists, veterans of the USSR border troops, and military personnel of Kyrgyzstan. Rozalia Dzhenchuraeva, a witness to the events of the initial period of the Great Patriotic War, and employees of the Memorial Complex «Brest Hero Fortress» will get in touch with them.
They will discuss the book «Every heart beat like Brest!», which tells about the participation of Kyrgyz border guards in the Great Patriotic War, and provides unknown historical facts of the operational and official activities of the Kyrgyz border district of the NKVD of the USSR during wartime.
The publication, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, will be sent to all border posts of the Kyrgyz Republic and educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.
