Staging competition «Russian soul in plays by A.N. Ostrovsky –from the 19th to the 21st centuries»

As part of the Year of the Russian Language 2023, from March 23 to April 21, 2023, the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaev Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. The first President of the Russian Federation B. Yeltsin is holding a performance competition based on the works of the talented playwright, founder of modern Russian theater A. Ostrovsky (fragment – no more than 10 minutes) dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Russian writer, «The Russian soul in the plays of A. Ostrovsky –from the 19th to the 21st centuries».

 

Staging – reproduction on stage of time, events, state of mind, characteristic speech of the heroes of a literary work.

 

Purpose of the educational competition <TAG1>introducing students to independent research work; developing skills in working in mini-groups for in-depth study of the Russian language and knowledge of Russian culture through Russian literary classics; introduce students to the originality of merchant culture, the exponent of which was largely A. Ostrovsky; nteach schoolchildren to see in a classic work XIX centuries of relevant, modern content.

 

Students of grades 9-11 of secondary schools with Russian, Kyrgyz, and Uzbek languages of instruction are invited to participate in the event.

 

Conditions for participation in the competition:

  • the competition accepts videos depicting game scenes in Russian;
  • both personal (monologues) and collective works (scenes) are allowed to participate in the competition;
  • videos can be created by any available video devices (camera mobile phone, smartphone, digital camera, tablet computer, professional or amateur video camera);
  • the video must be submitted to the competition in MP4 format in pixels resolution 1920x1080 or 1280x720;
  • video running time (staged fragment) – no more than 10 minutes;
  • one school can submit no more than three works to the competition.
  • File names should be written in Shkola_ format (for example: Shkola_#24_ Ostrovsky);
  • at the beginning of the video, the names of the participants, class, educational institution, locality, region are indicated;
  • the work is accompanied by a completed one questionnaire participant (you must attach completed questionnaires of all participants who play the roles of the characters in the dramatization);
  • videos (a fragment of a dramatization) should be sent by email: center_russ@mail.ru
  • works will be accepted until 24:00 on April 21, 2023.

Works are evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • selection of the work;
  • performance artistry;
  • the use of means of expressive reading (logical stress, intonation, tempo, timbre, emotional-expressive coloring of the performance) to realize the author’s artistic intention;
  • the accuracy of the participants’ diction in the dramatization;
  • interaction (play moments) of the mini-group on stage.

Based on the results of the competition, the winners (mini-groups) of I, II, III degrees will be determined.

 

  • The winners are awarded winner's diplomas competition.
  • Teachers who prepared the winners of the competition are awarded a letter of gratitude.
