Competition for the best media product for students in Central Asia

The Russian Heritage Foundation announces the launch of a Competition for the best media product for students in Central Asia. The competition is held with the aim of preserving and developing relations between the states of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, promoting the Russian language, popularizing the culture and history of Russia in the Countries of Central Asia, as well as studying and popularizing the cultural and historical heritage of the countries of Central Asia and Russia.

Students studying at universities located on the territory of: the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan are invited to participate in the Competition.

 

Thematic areas of the Competition:

1. «People who inspire me»
A story about a man – a 20th century figure who inspires you to learn Russian and get to know Russia;

2. «It will remain in history»
A story about a significant event of the 20th century, from your point of view. from the history of relations between the host country in which you live and/or study, and Russia, which influenced the strengthening of relations between these countries;

3. «Monuments of two cultures» / «Common heritage: significant works of culture»
Give examples /Description of monuments of common cultural heritage from the field of literature, painting, architecture, significant both for the host country in which you live and/or study, and for Russia, which, in your opinion, are important to preserve.
 

All participants applying for the Competition will have the opportunity to take an online course on creating and promoting media products. Upon completion of the course, participants present one of three media products of their choice, corresponding to the thematic direction of the Competition: podcast, longread or video.

The winners of the Competition will receive a cash prize.
 

Applications are accepted from September 12 to October 31.
