Competition program for schoolchildren «My favorite book»

On the eve of World Book and Copyright Day, celebrated on April 23, the Russian Language Institute named after A.O. Orusbaeva KRSU announces a competitive program for schoolchildren «My favorite book». Students of grades 7-11 of secondary schools with Kyrgyz, Russian and Uzbek languages of instruction are invited to participate.

Goals and objectives of the program: updating schoolchildren’s knowledge of Russian literature and the Russian language, developing interest in reading, supporting the creative abilities of young people.

Favorite book – is a friend we never part with, our assistant, teacher, guide to life. Thanks to the book, we gain access not only to knowledge, but also to ideas, spiritual and moral values, to understanding the beauty and creative achievements of humanity. A carrier of information, the basis of education, the book accompanies us at any age, gives us the joy of discovery, calls us to achieve new heights.   

We invite book lovers to talk about works that excite and inspire, to share their knowledge about masterpieces of Russian and world literature (in Russian).

Presentation competition

• The presentation includes a small biographical section (information about the author of the book), independent reflections on the work read, and illustrations.  
• Criteria for evaluating competition works: a creative approach to revealing the topic; compliance of the selected work with the age of the participant; text literacy; independence of conclusions; selection and quality of illustrative material; availability of links to used literature and Internet resources (last slide).
• The presentation is performed in MS Office PowerPoint.
• Presentation volume – no more than 15 slides.
• Participation in the competition is personal.
• The first slide indicates the topic, educational institution, city/village, class and surname of the participant, surname, first name, patronymic of the teacher of Russian language and literature.
• The use of ready-made presentations from the Internet is not allowed.

Book trailer competition

• The book trailer presents a literary work in the format of a short video, revealing its main content and idea. Indication of the name of the author of the book is required. An expressive reading of the pieces of the work is encouraged.
• Criteria for evaluating competitive works: completeness of disclosure of the topic, originality of the content and form of the work, ability to clearly express thoughts, mastery of the norms of the Russian literary language, originality of design and musical design.
• Video duration – up to 3 minutes.
• Video recording format – MP4.
• Participation in the competition is personal/group (no more than 2 authors).
• The first/last slide indicates the educational institution, city/village, class and surname of the participant (s), surname, first name, patronymic of the teacher of Russian language and literature.
• Participants guarantee submission of original works to the competition.

Competition works are performed in Russian they present works from the school course «Russian Literature», as well as extracurricular reading programs. Works based on horror books, action books, etc. are not allowed to participate in competitions.

Program participants undergo pre-registration. For this purpose, filled out in the format Word questionnaire must be sent to center_russ@mail.ru 

Competition entries are accepted until April 20, 2022. at the above address. Works sent without a questionnaire are not considered.

The winners of the competitions are awarded electronic diplomas. All participants will receive electronic certificates.
