November 21, 2024 Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies named after. Academician A.Ch. Kakeeva of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University will hold a round table «Challenges of our time and philosophy». The event is dedicated to World Philosophy Day, Science Day of Kyrgyzstan and the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding German philosopher Immanuel Kant.
The purpose of the round table is to discuss current issues of modern society through the prism of Kantian philosophy. Particular attention will be paid to the place of man in the conditions of digitalization and the rapid development of artificial intelligence. Participants will discuss universal aspects of Kant's philosophy and its moral and ethical problems that are relevant both for the philosophical community and for the general public. After completing the main program, senior students will hold a solemn ceremony of initiating freshmen into philosophers and religious scholars.
