Round table «The role of the Russian language and the Cyrillic alphabet in the formation of the cultural code of the inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan and the peoples of Central Asia»

Dear colleagues!

Institute of Russian Language named after. A. O. Orusbaeva (IRYA KRSU) Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B. N. Yeltsin invites you to take part in the round table    «The role of the Russian language and the Cyrillic alphabet in the formation of the cultural code of the inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan and the peoples of Central Asia», which will take place at the Russian Language Institute May 16, 2025 (starts – at 1 pm) in the building is humanarnogo fakulteta (aud. 309).

The program will be presented to participants before the event.

The purpose of the event is:

Discussion roles russian language and native languages as well cyrillic writing in the formation of the Eurasian worldview of the inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

The location of the round table is

IRYA KRSU – Bishkek, pr. Chui, 44 (the building is humanarnogo fakulteta, aud. 309).

The round table proposes to discuss current issues:

1. Historical role of Russian in Central Asia: his impact on cultural development and formation of the Eurasian mentality.
2. State and official languages in the context of balanced interaction and the main trends in the development of the language situation in Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries.
3. The position of the Russian language and the role of Russian-language education in Central Asia in the sociolinguistic dimension.
4. The role of the Russian language in intercultural dialogue and socio-economic integration of the countries of the post-Soviet space.
5.  Comparative research and scientific and methodological issues of teaching the Russian language.

Forms of participation:

- full-time or part-time (with report and publication);

- absentee (publication only);

- listener (full-time or part-time), no report or publication.

Procedure for providing materials

An article to participate should be sent until May 16, 2025 g. in format «doc» or «docx» marked: last name_article (Bogdanov_article) by email to the organizing committee: institut_russ@mail.ru. If there are two or more authors, the name of the first author is indicated in the file name.

Articles will not be accepted later than the specified period.

The materials of the speeches will be published in a collection of scientific reports with subsequent indexation at the RSCI. 

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select reports and articles, taking into account the level of originality of the material, compliance with the topic, scientific standards and technical requirements.
